One hundred and forty-four years after its foundation, St Patrick’s parish is still flourishing.
As you can see for yourself, we have a beautiful church which was re-ordered in 1995 and re-painted in May of this year. We are grateful to the sacristans, flower arrangers, church cleaners, and all who help to keep the church looking so beautiful.
We have three Sunday Masses which,
in spite of shops opening on Sundays and the secularization of society,
are well attended. Sunday Masses are now (since March 2000) celebrated
at 9am, 11.15am and 7pm.
We have two thriving primary schools: Saint Patrick’s on Foxholes Road and Alice Ingham on Millgate, Smallbridge
We have a successful and thriving Pre-School which meets in the presbytery and a Parent and Toddler Group which meets in the new Parish Room on Foxholes Road. We also have the following groups, clubs and societies:
St Patrick’s Friendly Club
St Vincent de Paul Society
Men’s Confraternity of St Joseph
Brownies
Union of Catholic Mothers
St Patrick’s Ladies Group
St Patrick’s Jusitce & Peace Group
