THE GOLDEN JUBILEE BAZAAR
1912
To celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the opening of St Patricks church in October 1861 a Bazaar was held over a period of three days in 1912, and raised the astonishing sum of £811 -12-0. It is recorded in the Log Book as follows:

The Golden Jubilee Bazaar was held in the Parochial Hall - October 10th, 11th, 12th 1912.
Opened on the First Day by Sir James Duckworth - Rochdale
Opened on the Second Day by Rev Thomas Walsh - Manchester
Opened on the Third Day by Mr Leeming - Alderley Edge.
1st Stall - Children of Mary and the young women of the Parish
2nd Stall - Married Women
3rd Stall - Teachers & School children
4th Stall - Men & Boys Brigade (Refreshment Stall)
The 1st stall raised the sum of £365 - 4 - 0
